Telderly: Take Care of the Elderly by Mariëtte Paalman, Business Economics
Traditionally The Netherlands is a welfare state. But the world is changing. People become more independent. If we can believe the political leaders, young people have less interest for the elderly and live in their own world.

People become older and older. The life expectancy is approximately 85 years and people live longer in their own house. Every day more people need help with the chores. But the government cuts the costs in domestic help. Family have to take care of their (grand) parents, brothers, sisters, children and neighbours. But what if the relatives are not ably to take care? What if the government does not want to take their responsibility for their residents? We have to take or responsibility to help the elderly!

To help the elderly, I want to implement a social innovation. My social innovation is an elderly agency Telderly with an application, also called Telderly. You can compare the Telderly application with Tinder. You can accept or refuse a volunteer job put out by the agency for the elderly by swiping the task - "yes, I accept" or "no I can't help just now."
