Student Solidarity Foundation by Carolin Grykowski, Logistiek en Technische Vervoerskunde

SSF is an intern foundation at Windesheim and it is meant for all students as a sort of “marktplaats” for schoolbooks to save money by buying or renting 2nd hand books. All students can easily become a member of this foundation by registering with their own student number and password. As a member of SSF students can put their book advertisements on the website. They can also decide whether they want to sell or to lend their books for a certain period to other Windesheim students. This option is very useful if they do not know yet if they will need their schoolbooks at a later moment of their study. SSF offers a special status to students who are in a not such a good financial situation to get priority when reacting on advertisements. Students can apply for this by sending in documents that proof their situation. A jury will announce an amount of students who fulfil the selection criteria.
