The baby boom old-timers by Bas Prinsen, Bouwkunde

From baby boomer to old-timer (in just 55 years)

In the near future a large governmental policy will change how many people live today. Several laws will be passed or converted to stimulate local governments to implement their interpretation of these laws, one concerning healthcare.
My paper focuses on the challenge of the increasing number of elderly. As the government cannot care for all these (elderly) people with the current resources, a majority will have to take measures to insure their way of living after they retire. These people in the age of 65 till 75 (third age) will need to think about how they want to spent there money and more importantly how to invest their money so they can live the rest of their lives how they want to live. My background in civil engineering enables me to focus my innovation on the buildings these people live in. I want to activate the “third age” to invest in their own houses so they can live more comfortable, longer, in their own home.
Furthermore, I want to advice local governments to see possibilities in these challenges, I think it is possible to help the “third age” in the form of cheap loans if they invest in their house or by way of subsidy.
