Scenario Adult
The Adult scenario would be a community-based
program which is self-organized by the participants and involves only small
amounts of money, such as small donations or contributions by the participants,
as there is no external financial support. As a consequence, the location for
the meetings might change and might be the homes of the participants or public
spaces. The activities and their frequency should be based on the interests of
the participants and also be decided and organized by them. The size of the
group of participants should rather be small in order to be able to manage the
program with limited resources. The advantage of this scenario is that the
program is independent from any external resources and therefore more
sustainable in the long-term perspective and it is really focused on the wishes
of the participants. A disadvantage is that without financial resources there
are less possibilities for activities and locations. Furthermore,
decision-making processes might take longer and only a limited amount of
parents can participate.
Scenario Teenager
Scenario Teenager is also a community-like,
self-organized program, but compared to the first scenario, it involves
external financial resources. This allows to group of participants to also
choose paid locations, such as schools or community buildings, or even build
their own facilities. In addition, more money-consuming activities can be
arranged, although still the community makes the decisions about how the money
is spent and what kind of activities are conducted. In total, the benefits of
this scenario are that it opens up more possibilities for activities and
locations, but it also creates some degree of dependency on external resources
and might therefore be less sustainable in the long-term. Nevertheless, as also
in the first scenario, the program is highly adapted to the parent’s needs and
wishes.
Scenario Child
In the scenario Child, the program can be
called an organization. It is not a self-organized group as the previous two
scenarios, but includes an external director or manager. Nevertheless, at the
same time, there are no external financial resources. The income or available
resources are dependent on donations and contributions from the participants
which again means that locations for the meetings might change and activities
need to be adapted to the available resources. In this scenario, the
participants have less decision-making power, as there is an official director
or manager who will be in charge of this. The advantage of this is that
decisions can be made faster and based on another level of knowledge or
experience, depending on the organization. A disadvantage is that, as there are
no external resources coming in, the organization and its directors/ managers
probably have to work on a voluntary basis.
Scenario Baby
The scenario Baby differs from the third one in
the point that it is a program which is funded by external financers. This
again gives more options with regard to the activities and locations. The
budget is controlled by a central person or group of persons who are part of
the organization and who will be in charge of decision-making processes. This
scenario leaves room for more participants and more luxury tools than the
previous ones. Nevertheless, the disadvantage is that there is a more
centralized power structure which might lead to the risk of having less
participant involvement in the design of the program.

financiering. Dit verhoogt de duurzaamheid van het project. Dit betekent dat
deelnemers zelf betaalbare activiteiten organiseren.
programma mogelijk verminderd.
